PS – fun fact! AKA – How I ended up at the police station on my birthday.
I filmed this on my 30th birthday. The SmartCar you seen the first bit? Yeah, ok, so I rented it with Car2Go.
When I get out of the car and walk with swagger I close the door – AND IT LOCKS.
I got locked out of the SmartCar. My keys, money, ID, cell phone, and glasses were all locked inside. EFFF.
I was conveniently parked across across from the city police station so I walked in there hoping someone would help me. Did they? Um, no. They laughed and pointed to the phone to call Car2Go. Did I mention this was Labour Day long weekend? No? Well it was – meaning NO ONE was answering the phone.
What did I do? I sat in the parking lot for over an hour until someone finally reserved the car and came to pick it up. Having the “Hey, did you rent this car? Great, could you unlock the door so I can get all my stuff?” conversation was only mildly harrowing.
Yeah. As if the music video wasn’t quite embarrassing enough, I added this extra layer. You’re welcome! ?
